ENVIRONMENT C4 - CARBON STEEL
The environment that the ISO 12944-2 Standard identifies with the atmospheric corrosivity class C4, that is high, concerns chemical plants, swimming pools, coastal boatyards. Such buildings are usually placed in industrial areas and coastal areas with moderate salinity.
Low-carbon steel structures show a mass loss between 400 and 600g/mq and a thickness loss between 50 and 80µm.
