ANTI-CORROSIVE PROTECTION OF COMMERCIAL BUILDING’S CARBON STEEL STRUCTURE

PROPERTIES: CAFFE ’DANESI S.p.A. is a Roman company founded in 1905 and deals with the production, packaging and international distribution of high quality coffee.

NEED: the need of the company was to ensure the maximum durability of both corrosion resistance and color stability to solar radiation.

SOLUTION: Colgom proposed a four-stage painting cycle, with an epoxy-polyamide primer rich in zinc phosphate both in the application phase in the workshop, and on site. The recommended acrylic-based finish was distinguished by excellent elasticity and resistance to UV rays in addition to corrosion, thanks to the presence of micaceous iron. The transparent, as a last coat, has allowed us to guarantee excellent color retention over the years, without maintenance.

DISTINCTIVE ELEMENTS: quick painting cycle, customized for the carbon steel structure placed in an urban environment, almost permanently exposed to solar radiation.
