FLOOR PROTECTION, INTERNAL DIGESTORS, TANKS AND DEPURATION PLANT CONTAINMENT

CLIENT: INFRASTRUTTURE ACQUE NORD MILANO – IANOMI S.P.A. public company established by the Province of Milan and by the 40 Municipalities that insist on the Olona and Seveso basins.

NEED: the client’s need was the long-lasting protection of concrete structures involved in the waste water purification process, subjected to highly polluting agents in liquid and gaseous form.

SOLUTION: in view of the strong chemical attack on all surfaces, a paint specification was prepared, approved by the customer, where a solvent-based epoxy-polyamide primer was provided to ensure anchoring, and an epoxy-polyamide finish, without solvent, with adequate anti-acid resistance characteristics, added with an aromatic amidic catalyst, and with an extremely high average dry film thickness, namely more than 1200µm.

DISTINCTIVE ELEMENTS: very high resistance to both abrasion and chemical attack.

ADVANTAGES: the type of painting cycle, with dry residue close to 100% in volume, allowed to obtain high thickness, even vertically, by application with a notched trowel.
